Muletown Bikes keeps Columbia rolling from 11 Public Square, where a bike shop has stood since A.C. Howell opened The Wheel in 1973. Back in 1857 the same building sold wagon wheels.
We sell Giant, Aventon and State Bicycle Co. bikes, and we service every make and model: road, mountain, hybrid, e-bikes and your kid's first bike. Not sure what's wrong? Bring it in for a free quote. Our service plans cover unlimited adjustments all year, whether you bought the bike from us or not. We also pack bikes for shipping and install hitch racks.
Owner Vinny Tavares raced mountain bikes, ran a shop in Ireland for over 10 years and managed Ride615 in Nashville before taking over here in 2025. Stop in and say hello.
